Okay this is my dress. I’ve always LOVED cathedral length lace veils with a blusher. But I’ve received some negative opinions from BMs about this veil being “too much” for my dress. Is my dress too dramatic for this veil? Would a cathdedral length veil with a raw edge be better or a shorter veil? HELP.

I think a plain cathedral veil would look amazing with your dress!

@sarahRN: I think you look gorgeous but perhaps a veil without the edging might be better? I think the lace distracts from the details of your dress.
By the way what is the name of your dress, it’s gorgeous! I am curious who the designer is.

It is by Madeline Gardner (who does Mori Lee). Style 1603! Thank you.

your dress IS gorgeous! I agree with the others, I think a more simple veil would compliment it well. the veil is beauitful too tho!

Your dress is beautiful! The veil is beautiful too, but I think I agree that it’s too much for your dress. It could also be how you’re wearing the veil? Could you wear it further back a little bit if this is the style you love?

They are both very pretty.. But I also agree a plain one will complement that dress better!! Good job on your hunt. 🙂

I would go with plain or beaded edge, but the lace is too much

I LOVE this veil and I think it actually looks great with the dress.
BUT, you have to wear it a bit lower. I think that’s what’s throwing people off…the veil is sitting pretty high, and it makes it look very dramatic. But if you wear it a bit lower towards the back of your head, you’ll see a huge difference! Try it!
I like it, with that condition! Haha 🙂

I think a beaded or silver-thread edge would look really pretty with that dress. You look beautiful, though!

Thank you for all the compliments! I purchased this veil off etsy for a very good

It won’t let me upload. It’s a two tier cathedral length veil with raw cut edge!

A 1 layer raw edge would be amazing with that dress. You don’t want the veil to detract from the dress. I love your dress its amazing.
