(Closed) Can khakis with a navy blazer be considered semi-formal?

I think that what you are describing could work. I would have to see a picture of your gown and they type of blazer/khaki look that you are considering to know for sure. You can definately dress the look up wit a tie, but for me, it would not be a formal look. To me, it would still be a casual look.

If you are having an outdoor barn wedding a tuxedo would be much too formal i think. The blazer and khakis could work (definitely with a tie!) but what about a nice summer suit? I think it looks a little more sophisticated than the blazer. We are getting married outdoors in August too and my fiance is wearing a tan Theory suit with a white shirt and orange tie-it looks really nice. 

J Crew has some similar suits and they are well priced..

I think it could totally work – I really like that look. I wouldn’t call it semi-formal though!

I think both the navy suits that cakegal posted links to would totally work with your dress.
