Can I turn the bottom of my dress into this?
This is my dress- Justin Alexander 8657 (pic of me is a sample so waaaaay to big so I’ve included a stock photo)
Did anyone else have major alterations done to their dress??

I’m no seamstress, but I have to say that looks like a LOT of work, I imagine they’d basically just have to start from scratch to change it to that. Sorry…hopefully I’m wrong!

I’m going to guess by the time they could, you would have paid enough to buy a new dress.

@linnylou_88: sofiekitty had her dress altered to more of a mermaid fit

@cece_intheuk: @chasesgirl: I think she means the shape (more mermaid), rather than the ruffles.
Yes, it can be done.

If you mean the silhouette then I would say yes. If you mean the flange/ruffles, no…they’re totally different fabrics.

I mean, it can be done, but it’ll cost you a pretty penny. I think your dress is totally gorgeous as is and you should keep it that way! 🙂

I had a belt sewn in to give it more pizazz and took the buttons on the back out so it was just a zipper. I also got a hem and bustle. You shouldn’t change the whole bottom of the dress.
