That’s beautiful! It depends on you and the dress, and how it all fits together. Have you tried it on yet?

I totally think you could pull it off, you need to try it on, take a pic and post it on here!

That dress is beautiful- I am pear-shaped and bought a slightly trumpet shaped dress because I love it!  If you truly love the dress you are going to feel beautiful no matter what people say you “should” wear!

I certainly hope pear shaped women can wear a trumpet…I’m pear and ordered a trumpet!! I actually think women with some curves really rock mermaid/trumpet style dresses. Beautiful dress by the way 🙂

I don’t buy in to the whole ‘this shape can’t wear this style’ thing – seriously, SO many people try on dresses they never expected to like and they became THE ONE.

Yah, that happened to me. Pear shaped right here & I’m wearing a mermaid.

That dress is absolutely gorgeous (I LOVE IT) and I say go, try it on & see what you feel. I got so sick and tired of being pressured into a-line gowns that I’m glad I didn’t get one in the end.

Here’s my shape/dress, btw:

I am pear shaped and I bought a mermaid dress! Honestly, I thought the a-lines looked like I was trying to hide something. I love my body and curves and so does FI, so like jaguar said… Dont buy into the ‘pear shaped cant wear a certain kind of dress’

I think you should wear whatever makes you feel beautiful and special

Sometimes when I tried on dressed I felt like I looked too/non enough whatever.  That’s different than what’s “supposed” to be right for your body.

If you love it on you and won’t feel like you’re looking at “your pear shape” instead of YOU in a pretty dress, anything goes.

I would say try it on. Based on your measurements, you sound more hourglass than pear and I think it would work with the bridal bra/corset. Try it! 🙂

I agree with sprinkles–you actually sound more hourglass.  With the draping at the top, this probably will balance you out well.

Mermaids/trumpets work much better on girls with some curves.

Ditto to Georgia Bee’s comment. I was just going to say that the Mermaid/trumpet style works much better if you have curves!

I am sure it will be GOREGEOUS on you!!  I think that mermaids lood amazing on pear shapes…..I ordered a mermaid and I have all sorts of curves, that people said i should put in an A-line…..But, I’m going to rock my mermaid and be proud…..You do the same girl! Smile
