renwoman:  Can you post any of those pictures? To get an idea of your hair straight? Dress pictures, veil, flowrs, venue etc. I think it all plays in to the hair.

renwoman:  Are you against an updo?

or use a headband

or a braid

the ultimate in simplicity

Not to be rude at all but did you do the trial yourself? I used to think my hair was impossible to get a wave in but have been pleasantly proved wrong. Are you having your hair done by a pro for your wedding? If so perhaps do a pre trial trail to see what she/he can do? It may not be tight curls but they could get some body. Honestly, pin straight and down may not be good but there are a million updos that would look nice.

Jessica simpsons hair was a huge win for me too:

I think if your dress and accessories have a romantic feel, straight hair won’t take away from that look.  If you are interested in updos, here is one with straight hair:

And one with braids:

It sounds to me as though you have been doing these trials yourself.  Have you considered using a professional?  You might be surprised what a skilled professional could do with the right tools and products.  If you are doing it yourself, however I would recommend curling mousse and LOTS of strong-holding hairspray.

have you tried using a curling wand vs a curling iron, or setting the curls while they cool? My friend’s hair won’t hold a curl unless you use a curling want, and in general, curls will hold much better if you clip them and let them set.

One of my bridesmaids ran into the same issue and we went to a pro at a salon. They could not get her hair to hold a curl. She ended up with an updo instead, but I think straight down or some of the other options here people have posted could look great.

You hair does have some movement in it, it i def. not pin straight. I like the half up half down you have in the photos you posted. You could try adding some product with body and curl into your hair damp, rolling your hair into a bun to sleep in, and see how it turns out the next day? That’s how a friend of mine who has fairly straight stubborn hair gets a pretty boho wave to her hair.

renwoman:  I think your half up/half down look just needs some interest for the hair that is pulled off your face. Consider adding a braid.

Completely straight hair with a floral crown would be lovely.

MissLibra:  Yeah but Jessica Simpson has thick hair that maintains shape and I’m guessing easier to work with.  She’s never had pin straight hair unless it was flat ironed.  It might be hard for OP to do that look
