They appear to be photos printed on photo paper. If the balloon is large and filled with helium, then I doubt a photo would weigh it down.

Ooooooh ok. Sorry, I hadn’t even noticed those. My guess is they are hanging from the ceiling in between the balloons. I believe any glow stick would be too heavy to hang from a balloon. They sell personalized wedding glowsticks on orientaltrading.com. they are $13 or $15 for 12. There are also lots of glowsticks on ebay I imagine.

When you buy balloons from a balloon shop (or  online) you can get these little lights that you can put inside to make the balloon glow. They’re light enough not to sink the balloon.

An option you could have is to get those and hang them on the end of the balloon ribbon- and make a little transparent cone to encircle it (tissue paper/thin translucent plastic maybe).

Just an idea!

@Meant2Bee:

If you follow the string the glow stick is hanging from, you will see it leads to the ceiling in between the ballons and is not hanging from a balloon. It is def hanging from the ceiling. My guess is they have a small eye hook up there or just taped the string down really well.

I actually think those are just normal ceiling lights. Not necessarily something attached to the balloons. You can tell there are 4 of them and all evenly spaced apart.

I think since it’s over the dining room table, it’s likely their normal pendant lights.  You can sortof see the track in between the baloons on the far right side of the picture.

@madteaparty:  I agree, I think those are pendant lights, but you still may be able to recreate the effect

Can you get a LED lamp and put it in a frosted plastic cylinder? It will of course be too heavy for the balloon, but you could hang it from the ceiling or simply tape that balloon to the ceiling.

I actually think those lights are hanging from the ceiling and not the ballons themselves.
