Okay, so I am doing a Downton abbey style wedding. I was looking at dresses and Ihate all the modren stuff. Ick. I found this one, but its over in the UK and its way outta my price range. Its 1,700 and I can’t afford that. I like the style. Does anyone know where I can get something like this in the states? Also, can wedding dresses be dyed? I want a blue dress. Or should I try to have someone make it. Thanks!

VictorianChick: have you tried etsy? I see a lot of ladies on the bee going through etsy to order a custom made dress and the prices are reasonable. And yes, a wedding dress can be dyed.

Daizy914: Yeah last night I was up till 1 Am trying to find something, but I just didnt like what I saw.
swonderful: I tried them, however, a few of their dresses have layered skirts and thats a no no with my body type. The rest I wasn’t thrilled with. They used to have an awesome beaded dress that would have fit but itwas too expensive and now is no longer around.
julies1949: I’ll try them. thanks
Ive seen a lot of places that sell or try to sell vintage inspired wedding dresses and they have flowers and bows and layered shirts and other such nonsense. I want simple.
