I think people describe it as uncomfortable in that you feel the ring rubbing on your pinky and middle fingers due to the knife edge. I don’t have one though, so I can’t speak from experience. I think they style is really pretty though.

I, like the other poster, have heard the edge rubs your pinky and middle fingers.  I don’t have one as I’ve had people tell me how uncomfortable they are, and how they regretted getting one.

I think it depends on how pronounced/sharp the knife edge is. My sister has the Vatche U113 and it hurts me. I have a ring with a softer knife edge and there’s no pain.

My ring has a very soft knife edge and doesn’t hurt at all. I don’t know how the exaggerated /pronounced knife edge would feel, though.

My wedding ring is a knife edge and it’s incredibly comfortable! I was a little worried it would poke/stab/ irritate neighbouring pinky and middle fingers, but it feels very smooth and fits between the fingers very easily.

I have a knife edge, I don’t find that it rubs my pinky or middle fingers. It’s incredibly comfortable.

It’s how it rubs your other fingers, not the inside, as other PP’s have explained. I found it annoying for about a day, then I got used to it. I think they pair really nicely with bands and love mine.

One of my stacking bands is a knife edge. I wear it alone at times and it doesn’t hurt at all. You can feel it between your fingers at first but that’s  all. I wouldn’t worry about it.

I have a softer knife edge compared to the above wedding band, but does not bother me in the slightest.

I could maybe see it being an issue if you have particularily chubby fingers and a more sharper knife edge, but I wouldn’t worry about it otherwise.

I had the knife edge solitaire from moissaniteco and I don’t think it was uncomfortable at all! The knife edge on that ring isn’t very sharp, it’s actually somewhat rounded. Now for example the James Allen knife edge looks very sharp and that one may be a little uncomfortable.

Heres a pic of Sol238a and you can see that it’s not sharp and kind of tapers.
