I don't see why you shouldn't wear them! I'd never heard of that superstition personally. If they're comfortable and you like them, I would go for it.
I think it's acceptable to wear any color shoes that your little heart desires. It's YOUR wedding! I know of brides who have worn hot pink and leopard shoes. I think it will look gorgeous, plus you'll probably get more post wedding use out of a pair of gorgeous black heels.
I say it's fine. Definitely get use again later. If I didn't already have my red-fade-to-black shoes, I was toying with the idea of black. They look sexy... go with it
"Luck" and superstition only have power if you let them. Silly to let something like that dictate your choices when it comes to things you want.
You can wear black shoes if you have a white dress with no other embellishments. You can wear black shoes if you have a black dress. You can wear black shoes if you wanna wear nothing but a silver g-string! It's your wedding, therefore your choice. Rock those black shoes, chica!
It's your wedding! Go for it! I think they'll be so cute with a vintage wedding!
I didn't know it was bad luck to wear black! I am wearing black shoes and having black nails !
Why not?! Love the shoes you picked, I am looking at Badgley Mischka too.
That superstition is downright silly. If you want to wear black on your wedding day, do it. I had black shoes, a black bolero, and black in my hair comb.
Thanks girls!!
I really appreciate the help. I love them and I got them for a really good deal which makes me love them even more lol.
you're the bride, what you say goes. that's the cardinal rule of weddings.

Psh, I agree, I think you can wear black shoes even if you don't have a black sash. Your wedding, your choice!!
I have a black sash for part of the wedding, and I'm leaning towards black shoes. It will look great!
I don't see why not. I'd say you could wear black shoes even if you WEREN'T wearing a black sash.
I am wearing black! My dress has a black sash too, but I always knew I wanted black wedding shoes even if my dress didn't have black in it. Now let's see your dress!!
Never heard of that superstision! I say go for it!
I think those would be PERFECT and it would match your theme!
I think it would look very chic if you are going with bright colorful flowers. You could also go for bright shoes with the black sash too.

Hey ladies, I need some advise. I am having a vintage/classic wedding and my colors are black and ivory. I am wearing a ivory dress with a black vera wang sash and I bought beautiful black badgley mischka shoes that has crystal accents. I absolutely love them, but one of my co-workers is saying its bad luck to wear black. I noticed on a lot of the wedding shows that black is becoming very acceptable in weddings. Any thoughts?
heres the shoes I bought..
