I think it CAN be done...it's just gonna take finding a talented seamstress!!
Yes it can be done but you will need more fabric to get a pleated back like photo #3. Are you able to get fabric from where you ordered your dress? You will need some kind of crinoline under the train to give it that fullness and it is probably better to have that built into the dress because finding a crinoline to do exactly what you want may not be easy. That way the fullness is exactly where you want it. Can your salon recommend a seamstress for you? What state are you in?

I have silk sheath dress -- do you think that these alterations can be done? The dress isn't fitted enough for me -- I want it to be taken in to be very fitted all the way down to the butt and then kind of pleated like in the second and third pictures. Do I need a crioline skirt to do this? Is this even possible? I hope so, I will love the dress if it can be done. I'm having major regrets but I think its only b/c it doesn't look like this already!!!
