wrkbrk: Pretty much my daily diet. Lean proteins, veggies/complex carbs, low GI fruits and natural fats… Honestly, these are the fundamentals of healthy lifelong nutrition versus a diet gimmick. Maybe I didn’t read enough of the article, but I didn’t catch on as to what makes it so that it should only be applied for 17 days at a time?

wrkbrk:  Gotcha. So, almost a transitional diet to get you on track and to teach basic principles that you can apply longterm. I don’t believe in fad diets. However, this one does guide you to eat the food groups you really should be eating, in relatively the right balance. So, I think that’s great if it gives you the structure you need to both start and stay on track in terms of a healthy lifestyle. Good luck! I guarantee you’ll yield some really great results if you stick with it.

wrkbrk:  this looks interesting! I was just saying to my FI that I’d like us to try and do a period of a  no/low sugar. I’ve been making some changes to my diet (eating more veggies and such), but I think I need to make an actual plan rather than just eat random stuff and hope it pays off. How many days in are you?

Talk about being late to the party…my sister JUST told me about this this morning and told me to look into it and get more details about what it really is because some of her friends have done it and had great success with it!!  HAHA!  Thanks so much for posting this information!  I think I may have to try it!

Did you use the 17 Day Diet cookbook? Are there suggestions for meals in the actual 17 Day Diet book? I know I won’t be able to be creative with the meals so I’m considering getting the cookbook too.

Good luck. Sounds like a very aggressive method to get the same outcome as just eating healthy on a regular basis would. And also, why is every one so scared of carbs? Carbs aren’t the enemy, overeating is the enemy. I hope it works for you.
