Lol… Now that the wedding is over…. I’m looking back at our E-Pics which were done in Oct last year…. I feel like we’ve changed sooo much. IDK if it’s just emotionally we’ve grown so much together…. or just physically we’ve changed (my hair is shorter is really the only difference). I love our epics- but I was never 100% satisified due to i don’t like my hair in them AND my outfit seemed like a good idea at the time… and once I saw it in the pics… there were a bajillion better things to wear! I’m plus size- and it was too drapey- and looked like I was hiding a preggo belly or something.
So…. now I want more pictures. Our house is filled with our epics and our wedding pics. Don’t get me wrong- our pictures are great—- I just look at them and it doesn’t even look like us anymore (the wedding ones do of course).. So IDK what in the world I would do with them…. But now that I look on pinterest (I didn’t even know what it was back in Oct!!!!) I have so many more ideas—- and know that my photographer (that did epics and wedding) is totally up to suggestions and is big on pinterest too- so I bet i could .
I want to do boudior pics for our anniversary next year…. but would it be weird to do maybe 1 yr anniversary pictures too? Maybe not have 500 shots like our e-pics—- but a few?

I don’t think it’s werid at all, but I love pictures. Some people do family/Christmas pictures every year and you are a family now, so I say go right ahead 🙂

I think if your photographer is open to the idea and it’s really important for you, go for it. Or what about doing a Trash the Dress photo session (depending on what u were planning on doing with the dress). Maybe that could be your “newlywed” pics.

Go right ahead. It’s your life, money, and frames being affected, so you do what is right for you. I am all for having great, professional photography to capture memories.

go ahead. i know a few people who have had 1st year photos done, so it’s not that unusual. i may do it myself. i’m like you- i love our engagement pictures, but i don’t like my hair and i wish i had worn different jewelry, so i think i want a do-over, haha.

ooooh Christmas Card pictures—- Genius! I’m saving my dress (although I don’t know why… Just b/c I’m a hoarder- but that would be cute to do as a couple!) lol
I love pictures- especially professional pictures! Our poor future children… theyre gonna hate it when Momma calls up the photographer… Or maybe they’ll love their picutres taken as much as I do lol!

We did a “Rock the Frock” (a somewhat less terrifying name for a “trash the dress”) 6 weeks after the wedding, but I’d like to do another shoot in the future.
It’s a photoshoot like any other and I can’t see a photographer refusing to do one as long as they’re available.

If you can afford to do them, I think it’s perfectly fine.
When I was engaged (WAY back in 2008-2009, haha), I didn’t even know that couples had these photojournalistic e-shoots that they have now, so DH and I don’t have anything like that, although we do have two different poses from our formal, in-studio, head-shot engagement portraits.
I have been asking my Darling Husband if, someday, we can have a fun photoshoot of ourselves to make up for our not having done this. Although it’s clearly not a budget priority given our current financial picture, I’m really hoping we can have some sort of reason to do them one day. I would love to have some beautiful, fun pics of us before we become too ancient, LOL! 🙂

Probably more than a year ago, but there was a gal on here who didn’t have time/money to do E-pics, so they did newlywed pics after the wedding! They were awesome! They were so in love and had that special newly wed glow 🙂 I’d say go for it!

My husband & I take pictures often!
Now, my sister takes them so they are free (she is not a photographer, she just snaps as I come up with poses, ect.)
So I don’t think its weird at all. I love having new pictures to put in our house. As time goes by we change and we age. I like having newer photos to frame!
We took Spring/Easter photo’s this year.
Here is one of our spring/Easter pictures:
& Here is one we took last year:
So I say go for it!

No weird at all. I would say at least half our wedding clients come back to us within a year or so for baby photos or just updated couple photos.

We are going to do an anniversary shoot…..in our wedding outfits. Go for it!
