I don't know if this has already been done, but I would LOVE to meet some fellow bees for some dinner/drinks or whatever else! I actually live in Tacoma, but am only 30 minutes south of Seattle.

Would anyone else be interested in diong this? How do we go about planning it?

We had one last winter and it was a TON of fun, lots of people came out. I think many of us would be up for a reunion + chance to meet other bees. I believe pretzel and TPHoliday were the primary organizers last time, maybe PM them? Maybe MissDG and cherrypie too?

Count me in too.  Just moved to Seattle a year ago too, so wouldn't mind meeting a few more folks in town (that I don't work with!)

I'd be interested in a meetup, as well. We just need an organizer... not me!

I believe MrsDG moved and is no longer in Seattle. :( I would host but I live in a small apartment in Renton.  I think having something in Seattle would be better.

What would you guys gals want to do?  Bar, bowling, shopping, DIY craft night, go see a movie??  It could be wedding related or not wedding related.

Or should it be held in Seattle or on the east side?  I wish it was summer because I bet it would be cool to do something at a local park in Seattle.

    Oh, weekend or weekday?

I am down for anything. A while back there was a get together at Oliver Twist in Phinney Ridge, we could do something at a similar place!?!? I am more than happy to host something also!?!?!?

OK--I have no idea how one goes about organizing this--but someone should step into action! I am DYING to meet you all in person!!

We could do something on maybe a Saturday or a Sunday afternoon--after the holidays?

Let's throw some dates out there, and then decide where to go. If we wait til after the holidays, we're then thinking early January, yes?  How about the 8th or 9th?

I'm totally flexible as of now.

We could host at our new house... there's plenty of room, a wet bar, and a hot tub!

As for bars. Oliver's Twist is great, but it's REALLY loud. Zig Zag down by the market might be better, as they take reservations and have big group tables.

We could also reserve the big table at Cantinetta in Wallingford if there are the right number of people interested.

Nthing that it should happen after the holidays.

@cherrypie: Your house sounds AWESOME. :)

I vote cherrypie's house, or anywhere in Wallingford/Fremont/Ballard. You're right that Oliver Twist was quite loud last time, you could only really have conversations with the people next to you.

January would be great, and we're free the 8th-9th.

I'm in too- I also would prefer either Cherry Pie's house or a bar in Wallingford/Fremont/Ballard/Greenlake aka "Anywhere But Downtown Because Parking is Ridiculously Hard to Find When it Rains" ;)

Oo!  I wanna come!  I'm on Capitol Hill but like the idea of Zig Zag followed by hot tub.  :)

Cherry Pie's house sounds great as does any bar in any location for me :-) I'm Cap Hill/Central District so nothing is really too far. Looking forward to meeting you ladies!!

OK, so I'm expecting we'll end up here eventually, either before or after drinks. I'll clear some time/space in early Jan once we establish what dates work for people. Thoughts?

That sounds good to me! We should plan the date well enough in advance that ppl will be able to plan accordingly. I don't have weekends off, so I will just need to know enough in advance. :)

OK... votes for the following dates, please!

    Friday 1/7, Saturday 1/8, Sunday 1/9

Friday 1/14, Sunday 1/16 (I have a baby shower that Sat afternoon, so hosting would be an issue)

    Friday 1/21, Saturday 1/22, Sunday 1/23

    ... and so on.

Obviously we want this to be an evening thing, perhaps HAPPY HOUR (woo!) so starting at 5pm or 5:30 would be ideal, yes? Thoughts?

FYI, Cantinetta's big table can seat 12 and is open for reservations. So we can do that, if we want!

If we shoot for HH...Paliminos have all day HH in Seattle or Bellevue and the Parlour have all day HH on Sundays.  Just wanted to throw that out there.

@cherrypie: I think the only date you listed that won't work for me is the 14th, I should be able to make it back in time on the 16th.

I've never been to Cantinetta's or Palimino's so I'm down for any HH that anyone wants to suggest!

Hey all - I'd love to meet up with y'all, but unfortunately with the wedding getting nearer my weekends are filling up in a big way. If I can make it, I'm definitely there, but if not I'll be at the next one for sure!
