Both Bed Bath and Beyond and Target allow you to completly set up your registry on line. I don’t know about other places, as I didn’t go to any other. I’m most allow you to do so.

I would look at going into a store for towles, sheets, and things with color to them if the color is important to you (decorations, ect) I like checking the feel of sheets and towles before I added them. The color of our plates on line looks purple, but they are blue in person.

Yes pretty much all of them can be set up and completed online. Just know that when people get to the store they may not find what they want. But that goes both ways, PARTICULARLY with Target and Macys

I created an online registry with Macys before I went into the store to add the things that I really needed to see. I also created an amazon registry for the things that we KNEW we wanted.

uphiolis:  we only did our registry online. We went to Amazon and I don’t really recommend kohls but Amazon was awesome- you got to check up on things and there was no miscommunication and I actually think people preferred it

We only did online, because the entire process was like pulling teeth. Sit on the couch with laptops, have a drink, and print one of those checklists off. Much easier than the chaos of going to the actual store.

We did the physical set up, and all the adding online with one trip to the store to touch/see things that I couldn’t decide on online.  We didn’t tell the sales people we were there for registring so we were left alone to make some choices and this was the best way to do it, it was just our opinions about what we wanted for our home

We did EVERYTHING online. Everything. We’re registered at Bed Bath and Beyond, Pottery Barn, and Williams-Sonoma. We did visit the store to see a few things we were unsure about, but otherwise did everything online over the course of a week.

It was more fun (for me) than doing it in the store. I don’t handle decisions under pressure well and doing it slowly let us really think about what we might need, and we got to calmly talk through portions of it while drinking wine and watching netflix.

we did ours through amazon. best thing ever. so much easier than spending 4 hours at stores doing the whole scanning thing.
