i dont know what material they have to be, but i know there are such things as “dyeable shoes”, so i would think that means the ones labelled dyable are the ones you should dye and not others.

and i totally get the search for purple shoes! i looked everywhere and never found anything i liked. i ended up finding silver shoes that were perfect so i decided to forego the purple heels in the end.

good luck!

here, i just did a quick google search on dyeable shoes. here is a site that has 49 pages of shoes to choose from. so i didnt go thru them all, but maybe you could find something in there that matches your styles you picked above.  i also know that the stores i went to in person that said they could dye shoes would do it for lile $10.

you need to get a white satin for them to be dyeable.

Some are called dyeable satin, some are not. But, most cobblers can dye it even if it isn’t “dyeable” satin.

I got mine at 6pm.com on sale for $19.80 (originally $79.00) with $2.00 shipping…I was very excited! I’m getting them dyed by a cobbler to match the bridesmaids dresses. I’m crazy about it being exactly the same color, so that’s why I’m going the dye route. I’ll let you know how it goes.

just search dyeable wedding shoes online….

coloriffics

unforgettable moments (by lela rose) at payless

touch ups

nina

those are some of the companies known for having the dyeable shoes, and they will dye them for you from their dye lots available. If you want it to match a swatch you already have you’ll probably need to go to a cobbler.

Good luck!

The Nina Electras definitely come in purple! You should check out the official Nina site. In addition to having more color options than the Dillards site, they have a number of dyeable shoes. It’s Ninashoes.com.

Purple is one of my wedding colors and the shoes actually aren’t that hard to find, although I’m not sure what shade you’re looking for.

I use Shopstyle.com to search for specific clothing and shoe items. You can even type in “purple shoes” and limit it by price. You can even just search by color. Zappos.com and Google shopping also work well for searching. Good luck!

My shoes are made by RSVP and they’re dyeable.  I purchased them from Zappos. ๐Ÿ™‚  I love that company.

Hi there!  I was in the exact same shoes (haha pun intended) as you a year ago when I was searching for purple heels for our wedding.  I searched for a looooong time but couldn’t find any, then started looking into dyeable shoes.  I went as far as buying a pair of dyeable shoes I really likes (off http://www.endless.com), but good thing I didn’t drop them off to be dyed.  I found out that no matter how they dye the shoes, there is a big chance that there will be dye transfer if there is any moisture (think wet grass, humidity, rain) and it would rub off on the dress.  If it was a perfect hot dry day, you would be fine – but I didn’t want to risk shoe dye all over the place.  I couldn’t find a single review where they said this would absolutely not happen.

I would suggest searching just a bit longer.  It took me forever, but I finally found the perfect purple shoes – d’orsays by Nina.  Unfortunately they discontinued the color.  =

@strawberrybanana – I am a purple shoe bride and had a great experience with Menbur brand shoes on http://www.endless.com:

Those are the Menbur Vertumno Slingbacks… but here are a few more purple Menburs:

@FutureMrsBondo – Oh noooo! I’m actually wearing them today at work, haha. I found a shirt that is the exact same color! What size are you, I’ll keep looking!
