I know this is stupid, but can you have more than two colors?  I want magenta, marigold, purple and green elements.

Of course. You can have as many as you want. Incidentally, my colors are basically the same as yours - magenta, goldish yellow, plum, with a bit of green and ivory.

Sure, why not?  Maybe pick two colors to be the main colors and two colors to be accent colors.

I have three to four colors! We're doing a sunset theme and using fuchsia, yellow/gold and orange. :) I think it's totally fine as long as you don't use all of them equally and try and make two more prominent maybe.

You can totally have more than 2! Even if you tried to stick to two, you'd probably see some accent colors start creeping in on their own, anyway. I started with tangerine and sage as my colors, and have since added wheat brown, ivory, and some yellow.

I have 4-5 colors! lol. I'm nuts. Black and White are the main 2, then red as the main accents, and aqua and silver as smaller accents.

Go for it! Having more than 1 or 2 colors will give you some variety and keep everything from being too matchy-matchy.

Absolutely, have as many as you want!  My original scheme was cherry red, watermelon pink, tangerine orange, & marigold... but it didn't work out for me.. so we simplified.  I wish I would have stuck with it though, it would have been beautiful.

I am having Fuchsia & Silver with a lot of B & W touches! (Damask) love them!! If I could I would have added Red & Yellow in there too lol

So many pretty color combos to choose from, it's hard!!! I love the combination we went with at the end! :-)
