So…I’ve narrowed it down to two choices. I’m still conflicted. Here’s what I think about each one.
1. The fabric is silk and its gorgeous. I love it from the back and the side. Not crazy about the front view, as I’m not sure it looks that special (the beadwork, etc.). However, it’s very glamorous. BUT it also feel less like wedding and more like Oscars, at least from the front. This is the more expensive of the two. It’s Paloma Blanca 4111.
2. Not crazy about the fabric. It’s polyester and it feels rough. At least in these photos, it looks like it is prone to wrinkling. Also, the style of the lacework is a little traditional for me. However, I think the style is very flattering to my figure. This is my fiance’s favorite by far. It’s also the most affordable one. It’s San Patrick Peralta.
What are your thoughts?

The majority of your wedding photos will be of the front of the dress, so I would say if you don’t like how the dress looks from the front then it’s a no. You don’t sound wow’d by the second one either, maybe keep looking? Btw, you look stunning in both, if nothing else you’ve found a shape that suits you.

the mermaid is still winning for me 🙂

I like the second one, but if you’re not convinced it’s the dress you want, I think you should shop around more.
You have a lovely figure and both are stunning on you btw!

You don’t sound like you are in love with either of them so I would have to say no to both. You need to find a dress you never want to take off and aren’t just settling for.

based on how you feel about both dresses, i say you need to keep looking. you should love everything about it. it is possible to find. if there is only one thing missing you don’t like, then envision if you can fix that with alterations.
also, i agree with a PP that the front is most important.

Keep looking! You don’t seem to like either. You’ll find one 🙂

If the only problem with the first is that it’s too simple and not bridal enough, that could easily be fixed by some ‘wow’ accessories and a very bridal veil. Simple dresses are much more fun to accessorise and you can make it your own style.

I kind of agree with the keep looking votes from PPs. You don’t sound or look in love with either, and I’m not sure they fit quite what you’re looking for with special and not quite so traditional being things you pointed out. While I like the 1st one on you better (I’m not much for all the beading/applique either), I think the side view makes it look a little too long (in the bodice) for you. If you do that dress, I think that could be fixed with hallow to hem sizing though.

Although you don’t like the fabrix of number 2 I think it suits your complexion better and I feel the dress flatters your figure. But as other Bees have said you do need to be absolutely in love with a dress.

I agree with PPs that you should keep looking. You don’t sound like you even particularly like either of them. Maybe you should try some new styles and cuts to see if something jumps out at you.

You gotta be in love with the dress…its probably the most expensive thing you will ever put on your body! I fell headover heels for mine, after finding a LOT that I really liked. Kinda like men 🙂

I prefer #1. I think it’s beautiful! And it shows more of your back-you have a great back! Good luck!

I think both are great but number 1 flatters you more.
