Only wear pearls if they're mixed with crystals/diamonds to pull it together. : (12 votes)

Pearls and crystals look good together. I say wear them, especially since the necklace and bracelet are special to you ๐Ÿ™‚

I understand your concerns. I would have the same concern if I were in your situation. I don’t like the mix of pearls and crystals but I like it better when the dress is beaded and the jewelry is made of crystals than the other way around (dress with crystals and pearl jewelry like in your case).

Of course you can do what you want… it all depends on how important looking stellar on that day is to you. Some brides care more, some less. Find your own answer to this question and you’ll find your own solution to it.

My dress (Casablanca 1881), has very similar crystal bead work to yours.

I bought a hair comb that has crystals AND pearls on it and I plan on buying the matching earrings.

I say go for it! Pearls are so elegant, they’ll look awesome.

my dress is quite similar to yours in that it has crystal detailing around the bust. however my dress also has pearls as well as crystals scattered all over it. i am wearing pearl and diamante jewellery and it looks great. i think you need pearl & crystal jewellery to pull the whole look together. i think pearls on their own tend to look a little too soft and sometimes old-fashioned, crystals really give them a modern and more special look.

I think @bobbydazzler said it best.  I think you can wear pearls as long as they are mixed with crystals.

I think so.. I’m doing two strands of pearls in my necklace with a crystal brooch, similar to this look, but my brooch has more crystals & I love the way it looks:

I didn’t even look at your dress before I voted… but it’s a big Y-E-S from me! I wear pearl earrings all the time! I wear my necklace a little less, but I wear them with jeans, sweaters, dresses… it’s like a LBD. So timeless & goes with everything ๐Ÿ™‚
