its a pretty simple question. I have been using a hair mask about 2x a week and then i use awapuhi Ginger dry oil a few times a day on the ends. It has been working wonders, but im afraid that i may be over conditioning my hair and it may get even more weak.
Any info would be great!!

I’m pretty sure that moisturizing your hair isn’t going to weaken it.. the shaft breaks when it is brittle from being dry. The only thing you might end up doing is making it greasy, but obviously that takes one good wash to get rid of.

You need to balance moisture and protein. If you’re getting too much moisture, your hair might become protein deficient, which may weaken it.
You can test really easily if you are getting too much moisture. Take a wet strand of hair, wrap both ends around your index fingers, and pull. You want it to stretch a bit, then shrink back when you let go. If it breaks, you need more moisture. If it stretches and doesn’t shrink back, you need more protein.
A yogurt or egg masque would be a great protein treatment for your hair.
