So I found the dress of my dreams but the skirt only comes in Dupioni, Satin Silk and Itallian Metallic. Don’t get me wrong, they are beautifull fabrics but I’m a rough and tough tomboy (when we’re not talking about weddings) and would much prefer a cotton blend or maybe even a fine linen or hemp. It would suit the dress, a sort of summery garden type style for an outdor summer wedding.
Is it reasonable to ask for an alternate material? Also, would it make the dress far more expensive because i’s a major change? Or would it be better to take lots of good pictures and take them to a trusted seamstress (I have to hem almost everything I buy so I know a few talented seamstresses who have thriving businesses) and ask them to mkae it out of the material I desire.
