Does anyone know if it’s ok to use two florists for your wedding? I’ve had consultations with about 4 florists now. One was waaaaaaay overpriced except for the tall centerpieces that we want. Is it ok to use another florist for all the other flowers and just the expensive florist for the 5 tall centerpieces? When I suggested this to one of the florists, she flipped out on me and got really mad that I would ask her to work with another florist on the same event. Any thoughts???

Usually you can not do that. In our florist contract it states she is the only florist that is working at our wedding. Im assuming most of florists have their contract set up this way. Also, I think even if for some reason it is not in their contract its a little rude. Its like if you were to hire two photographers.

that sounds sssoo taboo! Have you tried telling the cheaper florist that you really like, what you want? Tell them the center pieces you really like and another florist has them but you want to work with them. See what they can do. Good luck!

I’m so sorry, but that sounds plain weird. A florist not only places flowers but will act as a decorator, so it would be awkward to have two different people with possibly two different ideas placing your flowers. They’re creative people who may not think the same way. Take note of what the expensive one plans to do for the tall centerpieces and share that information with the one that is reasonably priced and see if they can make it happen for you within your budget. Besides, why give yourself more work by adding another person to your list of contacts/vendors?
