I didn't know you could use gift cards at different stores than where they are issued.
Macy's is owned by the same company as Bloomingdales, but as far as I know, you can't interchange the cards. However, I'd try calling Bloomingdale's because they might be willing to figure out a way for you to spend money at their store (though with gift cards, the money is already spent, so maybe not).
@MissAb- Yep some stores that are owned by the same Parent Company will let you use the gift card in all the stores.
@bmore- I think I'll take your advise and call Bloomingdales. The item I want was discontinued at Macys and was on my registry that was purchased twice but they discontinued it. I really really want that item!
Let us know what you find out! I'm wondering if this holds true for TJ Maxx and Marshall's. They're both owned by the same company. I have a Marshall's credit for some clothes I returned, and I'd love to use that money to buy this cute table I found at TJ Maxx instead! I guess I'll be doing some calling of my own lol.
Starstruck - the answer to your question is YES! Now gc at Marshalls have TJMaxx and Marshalls on them! (Just saw it on some yesterday.) But I'm still wondering if they can be used at Home Goods too. (I didn't ask)
Oh, I didn't see it's a credit - that might be different. But for gift cards it's a yes! whoops
Awesome! That is good to know if I see something I like at one store but they don't have it at the other one that I have the gift card issued through. :)
