I really dunno ladies but I'm in love with this Gloria Estefan song... I See Your Smile.... starts "I get a little tongue twisted every time I see you"

Anyhow, FI has no idea I'm even considering it and I think he'd be super moved by it.  Whaddya think? Yes or no?

I think you can walk down to the aisle to any music you want, whether it has lyrics or not.  You should walk to something that means something to you and if you think the Gloria Estefan song does, then go for it!

You can walk down the aisle to anything you want. Lyrics are perfectly acceptable. However, if you are marrying in a church, you will have to follow their restrictions and most only allow religious instrumental music.

Totally! I'm having one of my BM sing me down the aisle to Ingrid Michaelson's "The Way I Am". This is possibly the thing I'm most excited about for our wedding :)

My cousin played Lou Reed's "This Magic Moment" and sang it while we walked down, it didn't occur to me that lyrics would be strange at all. It was perfect!

I got married in the Catholic church, and when I met with the music director, I requested, "There is None like you," which is a contemporary Christian piece with lyrics.  He paused, said no one had ever done it, but we could do it.  He played piano, and our friend played guitar and sang it.  It was AWESOME!

You can do whatever you please! You can do cartwheels down the aisle if you want!... but that may be kind of hard in a dress. ッ

I'm walking down the aisle to "God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys which may prove to be a bit of a controversial choice seeing as the opening lyrics are "I may not always love you" LOL... if you listen the the rest of the song it's super cute, but there may be a few people who are like "Huh?!" ;)

If you love the song and you think it'll be cute go for it!

Aw, bees, you're the best.  I had no idea... now I'm going to e-mail my DJ and tell him about my request for the big walk! Love the Beach Boys tune.  Great, just great!  Thanks ladies

It's your wedding, you can do whatever you want!!  The past several weddings I've been to (my own included), the bride has walked down the aisle to a song with lyrics.

I say do it! Its your day and the song has meaning behind it so you will be fine. I plan on doing the same thing because the words are so beautiful to me and I want all in attendance to share.

I'm a HUGE Elvis fan, and if we were eloping, we'd be getting married by Elvis in Vegas.  I'm thinking about "Surrender."

I'm also thinking about "A Little Less Conversation" because it's my very fav Elvis song ... but I think that might not fly ... LOL.

My FI and I are walking down the aisle together to a song featured in the movie "Babe". It's actually a combination of spoken word, singing, and instrumental. I'm not the sure title of the song but it goes something like. "if I had words to make a day for you, I'd give you a morning golden and true, I would make this day last for all time, than fill the night with moonshine." James Cromwell (farmer hoggett) says those words, then sings it, then a really pretty instrumental part...the whole thing is like a minute and a half....perfect for us.

I walked down the aisle to the song "At Last" and the exit song was "Lucky" by Jason Mraz and Colby Caliet....No regrets!
