I was wondering if it was okay to have a colored eyeshadow like a green etc or does it have to be more neutral browns/ golds etc… my colors are white/black damask with a killer green. I am wearing green pumps and thought about maybe a green eyeshadow…. what do you bees suggest.. i really do not know what to do…

I wouldn’t wear green eyeshadow. Your makeup will look dated in pictures eventually, but you should still try to have a classic look. That’s just my opinion though!

I personally went with the more natural look with a bit of pink. It was a step up for me since I don’t really wear that much make-up. I think that if you normally wear popping eye shadows, then go for it! There’s no need to look nothing like yourself on your wedding day though. You want your hubby to be able to recognize you walking down the aisle hehe. Do a quick trial on yourself to see how it would look first before taking the plunge into green.

Not sure what your skintone is or hair/eye color, but I think there is definitely a way to add a bit of green into your look without going overboard.
I’d stay away from looks like this:
But here are two that I think are very pretty:

I wouldn’t do green. I wear olive colored eyeliner regularly though. I just think it might scream “80’s” a little too much. I wear green on a regular basis, tho, and it can be done subtly and right (i wear a clinique light green, but you almost can’t tell it’s green!). I’ve seen lots of lovely olive colors done on eyes, but since it’s obviously done to match your shoes, i think it’d be too matchy match. I went with chocolates and pink, though. And i nomrlaly wear gray-lavendar shades on a daily basis.

To me, neutral=classic, it’ll stand up to the test of time. Good luck!

I love green! I’d go special and gorgeous over classic and there really isn’t such a thing as classic make up IMO.

I think those olive colors on Jada look FABULOUS. I”m only concerned about your eyeshadow matching your shoes and matching your decor. If you weren’t doing green in your wedding, i’d dig the idea more. But yeah, when you say green, that’s the eyecolors I think of!

I think if you’re going with a green that’s similar to those looks on Jada and Kristen Bell, then you could probably go for it. For me, I wanted more of a neutral wedding day makeup pallette (pinks, peach and champagne shades), just so that I let my hair and dress be the focus. I think on a random day, I’d be all for green shadow, but I probably wouldn’t be too focused on matching the eye shadow to your shoes/color scheme.

I really like the Kristen Bell look! And Jada looks awesome too, but I don’t know that I would go as heavy as she has hers.

I don’t think a hint of green would be a bad idea…depending on what shade of green you are talking about. I think all looks will eventually be dated so I think as long as you are happy with the way that you look…and with your photos…that’s all that matters.

Wear whatever you want that looks great on you and that fits your personal style. If the neutral look isn’t you then don’t wear it just because every other bride on the planet does and says that you should look like them. If a bold color is what you look best in then do that.
Fwiw, I’ve seen lots of pics of Indian brides with very bold eye makeup that wouldn’t fly in the US and it doesn’t look trashy in the least.

I love the last two pictures posted my Miss Meepsie! I bet that would make green eyes pop too.

They might not scream 80’s,but they scream Halloween and aliens to me. There isn’t one of those Flickr pictures I’d ever consider wearing now or when I was younger.
