Yeah but regardless if you stock up now or not youll still have to pay $0.85 to send a standard letter come March… they will make you pay for extra postage to add to any letter with the old stamp.Canada Post has already suspended the sale of its permanent stamps, marked with a ‘P’ instead of a monetary amount. If you are lucky to have a stock pile of these stamps, then yes you can use them after March 1st.

Yep, they pulled those permanent stamps quickly. I went the same day the news story broke and they all had 0.63 on them.

I thought of stocking up as well but they were already pulled by the time I heard.

@rebeccalena:  @Pinkmoon:  @RedPanda24:  @shaney:  @little_lamb:  FYI ladies – I had friends check costco for me and the 3 or 4 that were checked were all sold out of the permanent stamps BUT I found some today at Rabba Fine Foods – check the random retailers that sell stamps (that probably aren’t really supposed to).

A friend of mine was just able to get a roll of 100 through Canada post for ‘business purposes’ but I tried that today and failed.

I bought 12 packs of 10 today and I’m thinking I’ll go back for more – because why not?  I’ll only need about 110 for RSVPs and Thank Yous (invites will go out before the increase so I’m not so worried about those).  The ones I got were the Royal Wedding ones, so they’re kind of fitting 🙂

I was able to snag one of the “P” stamps from my canada post a week after they announced it. They weren’t suppose to have them but she sold them to me anyway. Won’t quite have enough if I end up sending thank you’s to everyone but oh well.
