we tried sears but didn’t like it… we didn’t find people there very helpful. We loved the service we received at Bed Bath and Beyond so we mostly registered there; I also set up a small registry on http://www.Etsy.com.

I dont think we are registering, but if we did we would register at The Bay. You could also register at stores like Pier One, Home Depot or Rona if youre buying a new house etc.

I dont see too many people registering anymore. I think that has to do with most people already owning a home and living together. And many people would rather just give money as a gift.

Happy Registering

We registered at The Bay, and also at Bed Bath and Beyond.

The thing I don’t like about The Bay is the wait time for gifts.  We got a really early china gift, and the giver was so excited like “Oh you can use these NOW!!!”  and they won’t be in the store until 2 months AFTER our wedding.  Their total ship time on most china pieces is atleast 4 months.  It’s really irritating.

Bed Bath and Beyond keeps their china in warehouses so if you order online from the registry or in store, the couple gets it in the same amount of time.

That being said…….. most people have bought from The Bay.  I think they’re just more comfortable with it, even though everything is so much more expensive than BBB.

I’m registered for all my china pieces at both, but after the weddings done (15 days!!!) I’m going to just buy out BBB.  That way its fast, quick, delivered to my house…. and I don’t have to wait at least 4 months for my measly place settings to be delivered to the store, and then have to go pick them up.

@Miss Eagle:  Now that you mention it, I did notice that some of their gifts take FOREVER! My Fi’s parents bought a couple things off the registry online, and while we received the second one, the first one still hasn’t been shipped to the store!

Overall, I can’t really complain. They have been really good and I haven’t had any problems other than long shipping times. I guess you don’t encounter that if you just purchase in-store :P.
