Can't help re the Canary Islands but my dad lives in Ibiza and I'm happy to ask him for recommendations. He lives on a yacht in San Antonio bay and the weather is usually warm to hot well into October.

@KristenGotMarried: LOL. He is actually, but also really happy just to have friendly visitors. My friends went over with ten of their friends and they just spent a day hanging out on the yacht sunbathing and pretending they were millionnaires.
Do you have any requirements other than near the beach for Ibiza? There's an enormous range of accommodation.
Also, what's your budget?
We're going for two weeks, so we're looking at one week on the canary islands and then a week in ibiza (you think that's too long for ibiza because we could always do a night or so in madrid before heading home)...we'd like a nice hotel on the beach (balcony and not too far removed from some activites; jetskiing or even if there a little town)...I haven't done as much researching on ibiza yet...our budget is probably around 8K or so (no more than 10)...with the canary islands I saw most people stay on tenerlife or gran canaria and then I also read about fuerteventura...but not sure how hard it is to go from island to island...we want more of a beach and relaxing atmosphere...thanks! :)
@SpecialSundae: that sounds amazing- so much fun!!! if your dad has any tips on areas that are better than others to stay or places we should visit or see while we're there, that would be great!!! thank you! (or even if there are any day trips to other areas we should see while we're there too!) :)

Anyone been to either the Canary Islands and/or Ibiza??? Any tips, which area to stay in? Good hotels? We're looking to stay near the beach and then do some activites maybe during the day...can you do day trips to other places? Also, would the weather still be nice in September?
