What do you guys think about getting insurance to cover cancellation, vendors dropping out, something horrible happening to my dress etc.
I feel like its one of those things you don’t really need, like the extra insurance when you rent a car. But we have to have liability and liquor coverage for our venue, and the ONLY company we can find that will cover the apparently super weird and specific requirements of the venue MANDATES that we have cancellation coverage…super expensive and annoying and I’m seriously considering going to another venue!

We actaully got wedding insurance. My parents purchased it because we are getting married at an outdoor ceremony during hurricane season and felt that “just in case”. It also covers vendors backing out, cancellations and we could have had a “cold feet” clause but opted out. Seerch around for which one is best for you and meets your needs.

We didn’t get it, but I do feel it’s a great thing to have if you’re feeling iffy about certain aspects of your day (weather, flakey vendors, etc.)
We went w/ WedSafe for alcohol insurance purposes, but they also do full wedding coverage.
