Hi Bees! It’s still pretty early to be thinking about centerpieces I know, but I’ve found some really good deals online on things I know I want. The thing is, I’m conflicted now. We’re going for an elegant, opulent, Marie Antoinette aristocratic feel; our reception is in an old southern mansion, specifically in an oak-paneled room. It is on the darker side because of this, so we know we want lots of candles around. Originally, we were thinking having gold compote dishes filled with hydrangeas and roses with some greenery spilling out, specifically these dishes:
Now, I’ve found some Opulent Treasure candelabras on craigslist for a very good deal ($750 for 22 candelabras), and I absolutely fell in love with them! Here’s the lot, and a couple of inspiration photos:
I’m so torn now! I was thinking of doing a smaller item on the table as well, probably some old vintage teacups with pearls spilling out of them. If we did flowers I would definitely use votive candles as well. Will it be too busy if we do both dishes and candelabras? I’m leaning towards yes. There are a few mantles we could decorate, so maybe I could use one option for those? Any advice and opinions would be welcomed!
