I’m having a centerpiece dilema. I would like to do a number of different candles at all different heights arranged in the middle of the table. Our reception area is a windowed room, and this will look beautiful at night. The problem is that our room will be very well lit with alot of natural light when it is bright out. It will not be dark until approximately 8 o’clock, and will also be light during our scheduled 6 o’clock dinner. Do you think that these candles will look dramatic enough even while there is daylight, or should we just go a different route? What other nonfloral ideas would be striking but also very budget conscious?

Candles during the daytime will be fine. They won’t be as dramatic as at night though.

i think candles will look fine! But then, I’m having candles burning while the sun is out and we’re havign dinner…so I am quite biased. ;p

I personally like the candles, even during the daylight, but I’m doing candles too, so I guess I’m biased too!

@dietmountaindew: I ran across your post during a search about centerpieces. Did you end up doing candles and did they look alright during the day? I am doing candles too, starting at 6pm, and it won’t be dark until 8pm
