I think it’s totally enough! We went to the three weddings last year that had candy bars as the favor. We’re either not doing favors or doing a candy bar.

Sorry, I don’t really understand the part about your brother and SIL and what they’re going to do for you – are they giving you a candy ba to thank you for helping with their wedding or donating the candy bars for your wedding or…?

Either way, I think a candy bar could be a decent favor because people always prefer edibles. But I would see if you can’t get customized wrappers to make it really special. If it is just a regular wrapped Hershey’s bar, maybe not. Something like this. If you’re crafty I’m sure you could even make it yourself.

@katy13:  I think it’s a great idea. I would do pretty bags for the candy & some ribbon to tie the bags closed. 🙂

@katy13:  Tongue Out I totally read your OP wrong. I thought you meant a candy bar…as in a Hershey bar (obviously, from my reply), but I think a candy bar (what you actually mean) is always a good favor!

That’s what we did. People went nuts for it. We had it open the whole time. We had a sign that said “love is sweet, thank you” or something along those lines. We also sent out thank you cards. People ate the candy all night and took tons home.
