Has anyone ever done a candy bar during their reception. Any ideas on how to cut costs if you've ever done one from buying the vases to getting the candies. Thank you
Among the Italian Sweet 16 party set (NY, NJ) they have a thing called "Viennese Hour" It is basically a candy and dessert pig out! Anyone who has done one of these would have lots of tips for you, try inquiring about Viennese Hour. Vases you can get anywhere like Pier One or Ikea, but if you are in LA go down to the flower mart, they have everything so cheap...buy whatever you want, then go to Smart and Final for your Candy...they have the best prices for it.
I have these great glass dishes and stands that I used for my wedding. I'm renting them out now, trying to make back the fortune I spent on buying them.
All jars came from www.restockit.com. They have this funky thing where if you spend enough $ and the weight is under a certain amount shipping is free. I also used a $25 off coupoon. I kept playing with my order until I had the right balance. I can email you the details of the order if it helps - I spent $170 and got 12 penny candy jars, 4 Heritage Hill Jars , stemless martini glasses and 16 metal scoops.
I bought my candy online also from a store in NYC - I don't have a car so the only way to buy many pounds of candy was to have it delivered. I can find the website if you want - the candy was good and fresh!!

I did it for a pretty reasonable $$:
