How much was your candy bar per person?
We’re debating what to do for favours and now I’m leaning towards a candy bar (I wanted the personal m&ms but shipping makes them obscene (in my opinion).
So, bees who did candy bars – how much did they cost per person?
How much was the candy, how much were the accessories? How much did you buy? How much was left over?
Lots of questions, but I really have no idea how to price it!

Hmm…not sure of cost per person, but my friend got 60 pounds for 200 guests and it was all gone. The accessories were like 120. Homesense always has good apothecary jars.

@alleycat1984: yeah, I’m thinking I’ll stalk homesense/winners for jars and then watch bulk barn for sales & coupons
I still have to figure this stuff out with my venue & caterer. We only get the venue when they close to the public and my ceremony will be an hour later so I really can’t be doing set up and neither can the bridal party.
I’m going to have to be one organized bride when it comes to having things labelled and ready for set up!

I haven’t figured outPP but I should. I just ordered 3 lbs of vanilla salt water taffy for $15 with free Prime shipping from amazon, I also got 2 lbs of pink shimmer gumballs on amazon for around $12 with maybe $4 shipping. Research different candy options for sure don’t just buy ” bulk” candy from a bulk candy seller it’s outrageous per pound and the shipping per pound. I even looked into a groupon for using custom M and Ms and it was SO outrageous!! (I think I’ve paid the price for ALL the candy I’ve bought so far for what they wanted after shipping for 2lbs of mms!) Were also lucky that one of our colors for the wedding is a hot pink/fuschia color because I took full advantage of walmarts valentines day candy! Got 4 bags of hot pink and silver foiled dove chocolate hearts and hot pink caramel kisses! I knew having a wedding the month before valentines day would work to our advantage as far as our color and the candy bar:) I also plan to be at cvs when they open they day after valentines day and get all their hot pink Lindt truffles for 59% off !

Food for thought – The last wedding I attended, which had a candy bar, either had boxes that were too big, or a lot of guests with a sweet tooth. It was cleared-out after half the guests had left.
