My wedding is Mar 24th :) When is the best time to buy candy for my candy buffet?? I don't want it to go bad but I don't want it to melt in shipping either.  Does anyone know of any deals going on??

Depending on the candy, id day the beginning of March would be a good time. Hard candy wont go bad and you can put chocolate in tge fridge or freezer..

I'd wait until a week or so beforehand if possible. Unless you get candy that can sit for awhile in a closet that won't get sticky or go bad. Like order hard candy beforehand and then get your chocolates the week before or week of. If you plan on ordering in bulk online they should have storing suggestions on their site. Good luck!

I checked the website that I had decided to purchase our candy off of, found out the longest possible time it would take for the candy to arrive and worked backwards to figure out the last possible date I could order it and still get the candy on time. The website basically had up to 10 business days, since the website is based near where I live, the actual turn around time was 3 days so I had to store the candy for about 2 weeks. The candy stayed wrapped and sealed and stayed fresh.

I used acandywarehouse.com if you want to check them out. They were reasonably priced from the other websites I compared them to and the quality of the candy was good.

Most candy won't go bad for quite a long time as long as stored in a cool dry place. I'm an event planner and I order candy 2 months ahead for most events where we have a candy buffet. Acandywarehouse.com specifically, sends all of their candy wrapped in a very heavy plastic, almost tarp like plastic.

If you have an event planner, they may be able to get you discounted candy at a local candy wholesale warehouse.  Most places require a business license to enter.  It's quite a bit cheaper, depending on what you order.  For inspiration, check out websites like "Hostess with the Mostess or Pinterest.  They have great visuals.
