I didn’t have a candy buffett but the best wedding I ever went to did. She also had little take out boxes so people could take candy home if they wanted to. It was perfect!

Hello! I recenlty got married in sept,2012 and had a candy buffet. I wanted to just have the candy buffet has the favors but my mom insisted that we also have a favor at each place setting. So, I had litttle boxes with dipped fouture cookies in my colors with a personlized foutne in them. My mom was right on this because my candy buffet was a huge hit! My guests rushed the candy buffet. I heard some of my guests didn’t even get to see the buffet. I was happy I had the extra favor. Hope this helps!

I have had brides do it both ways…as “the” wedding favor and an addition.  Your candy bar also acts as a beautiful centerpiece to your reception; we design them based on color and/or theme.

I would be more than happy to give you any other advice if you are doing a diy candy buffet.

Sweet Smiles!

I plan on just doing the candy bar as our favor.  Instead of just limiting my guests to whatever i give them I want to give them the option to choose the kind of candy they want.

although we didn’t do a candy buffet, we had a popcorn buffet, we used it as a late night grazing station from 9pm till the end of night and provided bags so guests could take them home too.    so we doubled it as a late night snack/favour

Oh now that is a cool idea, did you have different flavors?  We are debating on maybe doing a late night nacho bar.

I had a massive candy buffet way more than needed to feed my guests and I did that so they could take some home as their favor. I had little boxes sitting on the candy table with a sign telling my guests they could take some home as well. Everyone absolutely loved it and everyone stocked up on candy as they left. I got a lot of compliments on the table and the candy selection.

We had a candy buffet and that was their favor. We didn’t do anything extra and no one cared.  Everyone loved the candy buffet!

I am having a candy buffet that will act as favors.  We are coupling this with a photobooth, as well.  I’ve pondered also letting the guests know we will be making a donation to our favorite charity, as well, in their name, but that seems a bit overkill (in my mind).

@happilyeverafter54 that is an awesome candy buffet.. how many guests was this for?  What types of candies did you have?  My number one problem is that our venue wants all candy prepackaged (individually wrapped) so no bowls of M&Ms, Jelly Beans, etc. which really bites!

We’re doing a candy bar (hopefully) and no other favors. Though we are also having a sweets section too. With small pies and cakes. So its sorta a doubley bar.

I can’t decide either!  I was thinking just a candy bar but then I ran across an idea to do lotto tickets in cute little envelopes that say “Lucky in Love” with a penny from 2013 (our wedding year).  I have been to several weddings and they had cute Kraft paper bags for people to take home the candy and that was the only thing.
