I need help with a candy buffet. I’m planning on having a candy buffet as a way of providing favors for my guess but I have no idea how much candy to buy. Is there some kind of science to this madness, Im planning on having about 400-450 guest which includes children and bridal party. I would like to have at least 10 different treats such as personalized m&m’s,sugar babies and some others. I need idea and some other candy that can be purchased in bulk.

(Amount of Guests) X (3)= (Total)/ (divide by 16) = YOUR ANSWER TO LBS. NEEDED

I just posted a question very similar to this, so I’ll be interested in hearing the responses as well 🙂
I HAVE read that you should expect each person to take a half a pound of candy. My questions was, do you just rely on that estimate, or buy more in case people eat some while there AND take some home?
We’re having about 10 different candies as well, and are only doing them in our wedding colors: plum, spice orange, ivory with some browns in there for the chocolates, too.

Just wanted to let you know michael’s arts and crafts is having its dollar days sale until tomorrow and mine had tons of glass jars and vases that would be perfect for a buffet on sale! Gosh I just love a good sale 🙂 good luck!
