What kind of jars?

Have you thought about just making labels on the computer and sticking them to long wood sticks and sticking them out of the jars?

Another question, is do you really need labels Maybe just a description and intro of what people should do in a picture frame or small chalkboard.

I’ve seen little signs on tripod easels that i thought were cute. or perhaps something like this that you could stick in each jar:

@Ms. Sparkles: depending on what you want, there are spools of ribbons at michaels for $1 each. They are usually in a bin.

I went to the craft store (Jo-Anns but you can probably get these anywhere) and bought Martha Stewart labels. They’re white, self adhesive and pretty without looking too fussy. I just wrote the name of the candy on the label, stuck it to some black cardstock, cut it out, punched a hole w/ a hole puncher and threaded ribbon thru it to tie it around the jar. Easy, simple and CHEAP! By the way, basic ribbon shouldn’t be expensive…try dollar stores or Wal-mart. That’s where I found mine Smile
