I'm sure that this has been brought up on here before. But is anyone doing a Candy Buffet? I'm going to stick with the candy being all one color, but am having the hardest time finding Sugar Free candy colored green!

I have this big vision of a candy buffet with about 5 different types of candies, 2 of which are sugar free. All of the candy will be a variation in green. I'm also having little "trees" (sticks basically planted by cement in a taricota planter) so I can hang the colorless rock candy sticks to look like something from a chandelier.

The table will have clear lights around it and the jars/glasses of candy. My last thing to figure out is what I should have underneath it. My colors are Clover Green and Plum Purpler. Maybe just a solid color purple fabric or I was thinking of having someone I know make a table runner for it.

OMG it feels so good to get my ideas out!

    Any thoughts?

Love the idea of a solid purple fabric!  And candy web sites have tons of options -- so hopefully, a bit of Googling will help you find what you're looking for.  :)

I think it is really nice of you to offer sugar free options. Are you doing that for a specific reason?

im not exactally sure the kind of candy you want, but I know you can get sugar free jelly belly beans, and www.sugarstand.com and www.stainedglasscandy.com has some good sugar free candies.

I honestly thought about doing a candy buffet but decided against it because it was expensive.  But if you have the time and ability to do it, go for it.  I do know it will take some effort to transport and may melt.  Trust me, I had enough problems getting my favors set up and they were small!

Thanks for all the tips! I have a lot elderly people coming to the wedding and I know a lot of them (My grandma for example) should not have sugar (even though she does!) so I thought that would be a nice addition.

I calc'd it out the other night, if I buy 5 different candies in bulk it should come to about $231 - not including the shipping though :S However, since I'm doing a lot of things myself, and not having favors (I figure this is favor-ish enough) it balances my budget out.
