Awesome!!! That looks sooo tasty! I am still contemplating if I want to do this or not. But yours is inspiring!
That looks so good! (: You have a really good variety of treats, yumm!
@noritake22: your candy buffet looks amazing! Did you get all your apothocary jars new from the same place, or used? I sometimes think "If I could do it all again..." candy buffet all the way!
Thank you ladies :-)
Sorry it took me so long to respond; I had to go to the bank.
@Valhalla: I got all the jars at Joanns and Michaels either with coupons or on sale. The little cookie suitcases, I got at Michaels.
***Just want to share; hopefully it will inspire more bees to know that they can also do a candy bar, and know that it doesn't have to be extravegant to look okay :-)
@noritake22: It's adorable!
Also, I'm apparently stealing your anniversary date!
@crh1729: Thank you :-) That date is special to us because it is 9 days after my birthday and 9 days before my FI's birthday, and this year the numbers add up to 9 and 9 has always been my favorite number.
@Missbliss: Thank you :-) I collect dolls and they are a part of who I am; FI tolerates them. It wouldn't be our wedding, if I didn't have dolls there, and these dolls are a close mini of each of us.
Wow, this is so fun! I love candy bars :) I'm sure the guests will be able to figure out what everything is.... if not, I always just get it anyway and try!
My only worry with not labeling them is if you have guests with nut allergies. Maybe label just the :
This is gorgeous though! I really like your bride and groom as well.
Thank you ladies :-)
We are having a very small wedding, so the labeling won't be an issue. We know everyones food allergies, and we will be fine.
I thought the mini bride and groom would be a fun touch with them holding the "Sweet" and "Treats" signs.
yum! I love the sweet treat signs, adorable. and the cookies.......yum!!!!
Ooooh this looks delicious :)) I wouldn't be able to wait for the wedding to snack *ahem* taste test everything!
how are you packaging the extracts?
didn't you say previously that your fi is in recovery? (sorry if i'm confusing you with someone else) if so, you should really have a warning for his fellow recovery guests that the cookies are made with alcohol. some people wouldn't be comfortable with that at all.
@Miss Godiva: Thank you :-) I am having a hard time waiting too, but I have everything boxed up for the wedding and the candy is buried :-)
@kitzy: I am packaging the vanilla in little bottles with labels that state what is in them. You can see them here. Andy yes, my FI is in recovery and has no problem with it. Neither does anyone else that I have talked to. The vanilla you purchase at the store is made with alcohol, so it shouldn't even be an issue.
I love the 'cookie suitcases' (they look like hat boxes to me)!! I was thinking of doing a candy bar too and love the idea of using other things with the apothecary jars. You did a great job, I'm sure the guest at your wedding will love this!
Thank you @ellabee:
and @SpiceFairy: I think they could be hat boxes. I got them at Michaels in the aisle with all the cute boxes. I would have purchased one of everything, but that would have made our broke budget even worse, and not everything went with our theme :-/
@Corykru: Thank you; I do too; even FI loves them, and he really doesn't like my dolls at all, but these two are a little mini him and mini me :-)
love it! I would recommend labels for the cookies, I'd wanna know what they were
@glaca: Thank you :-)
We are only having 31 people at our wedding, so although I did think about labeling the cookies, I think that I can get away with not labeling them. People can just ask, if they can't figure out what kind they are just by looking at them. At the present time, I am DIYed out....
@noritake22: I love porcelain dolls too. I had a bunch growing up. A few bride ones too! Wish I would have saved them for the wedding lol. Dunno where I put them. Probably in the attic some where.
@Corykru: You should try to find them. These are from Marie Osmond, and I don't think she makes them anymore, but I am sure you could still find them. Or you could find yours and then try to find a groom :-)

Well, this is the mockup for our candy/cookie bar. I have decided not to label the jars or the cookies because it should be pretty selfexplanatory and I also think it would look way to busy. The list of items is:
