SMORES!!!!!!! I totally want to do this for our wedding if budget permits :D
I absolutly love the smores idea also.. and sterno cans shouldnt put off THAT much of a flame.. right?? Maybe we will do the smores and a chocolate fountain (since we already have one) just get a few things for the fountain.
I just dont want it to look as though we tried to hard.. ya know.
Zomg, the idea of toasted marshmellows in a chocolate fountain is making me drool. I love this idea :)
I think they're all cool, but there's more to a s'mores buffet than the others because you're actually making your own s'mores rather than just bagging up some candy... IMO, it's a lot more fun and appealing.
I want to do a smores buffet, anyone know where to get one?
I wonder if you could just buy one of these? I wonder if the venue would allow it or if it would be too much of a liability?
I woder if you could integrate the two. Like roast your marshmallow and them coat in in chocolate from the fountain and then grab a graham cracker. You might end up with some mushy marshmallows in the fountain, but that happens anyway.
Thanks for all your posts! I think we will go ahead and do both the smores and the chocolate fountain. I love the idea of going out of the box and doing something different then the average candy buffet. Im thinking that the smores will be cheaper also!
Although it seems like you've already come to a decision, I just wanted to chime in to vote for the S'mores buffet. I attended wedding weekend festivities recently for a bride and groom who had a S'mores buffet at the rehearsal dinner. It. Was. Awesome. Go for it!

Hey girls! So I am in need of help.. I am debating on what kind of fun buffet to have at our reception. Do I go with the trend and do a Candy Buffet... Bring back the Chocolate fountain or go out on a limb and try a S'Mores buffet?
Good friends of ours did a candy buffet so I dont want them to feel as though I used their idea.
I love the idea of a chocolate fountain.. I dont even mind cleaning up the mess.
I have NEVER been to an event where a s'more buffet has been served. I found so many pictures of ideas from professional companies.. It looks simple enough. I really am not afraid of children getting hurt.

** Note.. We arent really having a "wedding". We are having a small private ceremony with family then will have a larger reception with friends and family.. So i wont have a dress to worry about and all that.
