I am on the lookout for a new camera but completely confused and talking to the guys at bestbuy and microcenter only confused me more. Right now I have a nikon coolpics s3100 which I bought a year ago because it was on sale and the best buy guy said it was good. While going through and trying to make a photobook of pictures I’ve taken in the past year I’ve come to realize that every shot is blurry. I don’t know if its the camera or me but the pictures I take on my 8mp cell phone camera have been better than the ones on the nikon coolpix.
So I thought I’d give another camera a try and after reading a bit I came upon this one: http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/digital_cameras/powershot_sx260_hs
Can any bees who know photography tell me if this is any good for someone who only knows how to use the auto mode? I plan on using the camera on vacations (namely our honeymoon), my fiance’s graduation, baby pics and the like. And the pictures I do get out of it I would like to be able to put in photobooks or buy canvas prints.
I would also love recommendations towards other cameras. My price range is around 200 though since I definitely don’t consider myself anything near a pro and don’t need much more than a point and shoot.
