I am trying to print my wedding invitations from Microsoft Word on my sister’s canon MG5250. Part of my invitations are in aqua text however i cannot get her printer to print aqua. I have tested several different shades which on the screen look aqua but none of them come out aqua they either print Blue or Green nothing inbetween.
I have a canon MP210 which is able to print the colour i need when i set the RGB to R:102 G:255 B:255. I understand the MG5250 is different as it uses individual ink cartridges with CMYK. I can’t do the printing on my own computer as it feeds the paper off center constantly and i have pre cut cardstock so i can’t trim it. Her printer is good in that it prints evenly and on center but i just cant get it to print the colour i need!
Is there anyway i can get it to print aqua at all??? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How often does she print? Especially in color. If the ink is old, the cartridge might be clogged. Also, her aqua cartridge may be out, running individual cartridges has it’s up sides (not needing to waste a tricolor cartridge that may be full with 2 colors and only empty on one) but it’s mildly annoying sides like running out of one color randomly in the middle of something. (We have an Epson XP-400 and it runs on individual color cartridges, too.) If her printer has a screen on it, it should have some kind of menu and tools or something like that, and then a menu to select where you can see ink levels of each cartridge. Our printer has that and you can also open up printer info on the computer to check wi-fi status, ink levels, etc.
Google ‘user manual canon MG5250’ and you should be able to find an online copy which will help you troubleshoot and can tell you how to check ink levels. My guess is you’ll need to go buy a new aqua cartridge but they’re pretty cheap since they’re individual.
Good luck. 🙂 Hopefully you’ve figured it out already and my post is irrelevant.

@cuddlz88: Try printing on yours again – but convert your invite to a pdf. That should stop any of the off center printing issues you are having.
Or you can give your local community college a call and have them do the printing. Usually super cheap 🙂 Just call them and ask for print services, or the printing office.

@cuddlz88: You could always try calling canon customer support. I’d definitely try the ink cartridge though.

@suburbian: I tried the converting to PDF but it it just my stupid printer and the way it feeds the paper in crooked that makes it off center. I guess also because I’m using pre-cut card stock. Going to try and figure out my sisters printer as hers feeds the paper in nice and straight

@cuddlz88: Hey Cuddlz88. Did you ever figure out how to get the printer to print in aqua? I am working with a Canon MG6200 and am having the same problem and it’s maddening!
