Follow your gut.  Its your dress. If your MOH thinks theyre all nice, then she can wear them all. You need to wear the one that is perfect for you and feels perfect.  Keep searching until you feel it

dont rush into the decision – you will find one that you keep thinking about or comparing others to.

maybe go try on dresses alone? then once you find a few worth showing off then bring mom and MOH along.

you are def not the only one! i totally felt rushed into my dress decision but i ended up loving it.

i agree with PP, go alone at first.  this way, you form an opinion of what you like without a lot of other voices in your head.  then, make a mental list of your top 5 gowns.  take your MOH and your mom with you to see the top 5 and make your decision out of those.  that’s what i did — but, i only went to 3 bridal shops!

Don’t feel upset if you don’t have the huge teary emotional meltdown when you put on THE dress – I swear that only happens on SYTTD.  As the other bees said, just go with your gut…if you put the dress on and you love it, go for it!  And don’t buy anything until you’re ready, and once you buy it…stop looking!!!  🙂

Go alone!

That’s my best advice for anyone looking for a dress.  SYTTD makes you think you need an entourage, but it’s totally unnecessary and, for some, actually makes the process worse.

Working with a knowledgeable consultant one-on-one is awesome.  I’m glad I didn’t even have my mother with me.

BTW, I’m pretty indecisive myself.  I wound up liking 2 dresses at 3 different salons.

For some brides, it isn’t a case of finding THE dress.  It’s choosing THE dress out of a bunch that look great on you and make you feel beautiful.

You’re not the only one!  I went shopping 5 times to 4 different shops and tried on over 35 gowns.  I’m horribly indecisive.  I eventually stopped bringing an entourage and I think having no one else chiming in helped me. I never had a crying “it’s the one” moment.  I just decided that the one dress I kept thinking about and that I had tried on twice was the one for me.

You still have plenty of time.  Don’t stress over it.  Enjoy it.  I started to stress and looking back I had plenty of time and should have just enjoyed the whole process more.

I would say go by yourself or with someone different.  Then it might be easier to make a decision.  Or you might want to take a break if you have time.

Cotton said it–you have plenty of time, don’t stress about it.  You just haven’t found it yet.

The new lines will be coming out in a couple weeks.  There will be lots of trunk shows in early Fall.  You really have until next January to make a decision.
