I am getting married January 2014 in a Catholic church with a reception in a grand ballroom. I need a dress that will make a statement and can stand up to the grandeur of the venue.
Here is option 1:
And here is option two:
Please let me know your opinions!!

Option 1, it looks fantastic on you!

@jltoth: I like the flowy romanticism of the second dress, but if you’re looking to make a statement, the first one definitely does more of that. Not sure that I love the bottom, but it’s definitely more unique.

The Pronovias SCREAMS statement! It’s so gorgeous, stunning, beautiful, I could go on and on. The second dress is beautiful and flowy, but it seems like more of an outdoor wedding dress to me.
The first one just begs for an incredible backdrop like a catholic church and grand ballroom!

First one! Totally stunning!

@jltoth: dress #1 for sure!!!!

@jltoth: I feel like you are a tad too short for dress one.
I absolutely adore you in dress two!!

I appreciate all of your comments- they are definitely making me see different aspects of the two dresses. They are so different which is what makes it difficult!
Just a note about dress #2- it is one shoulder but I would make it strapless (it is currently tucked in). I would remove the flower at the top so that it is a simple rouched top with the flowers going into the tulle skirt.

The first one makes much more of a statement!

Love the romance of the drop waist tulle gown, GORGEOUS! Number 2!

The first one!! But I may be biased, as that’s my dress! Lol. 🙂

- Wedding: August 2014 - Ceremony: St Patrick's Basilica Reception: Southern Cross Ballroom, Esplanade Hotel Fremantle
Option 1 :), I’m getting married in a massive basilica and my reception is in a grand ballroom too! I decided that i needed something more dramatic given the venues ^^, with venues like ours we need to make a statement 😉

@peacockrosebride: Do you have your dress yet? If so I would LOVE to see it!!!

@Elayne51: Oh my gosh, really?? The only thing I am a little “iffy” on is the feathers. I can’t decide if I love them since they are so different.
Do you have any pictures of you in the dress? I tried looking at your boards but for some reason the pics weren’t showing up. Also, did you end up altering your dress at all (as I saw you had some posts regarding that).
