Help! My fiance and I are looking through picture after picture of wedding favors but cannot decide! We know that people throw favors away and we dont want to feel like we wasted a lot of money BUT we also dont want to have “stupid” favors. My fiance and I are chapstick freaks so he said we can get chapstick and put a personalized sticker on it but I kind of feel like that isn’t enough. Any ideas or advice? It would be greatly appreciated!!
I’ve always liked the idea of having a candy buffet but went to the candy store the other day to get an idea on prices and couldn’t believe it! This really should be this hard.

If you like a candy idea, why not little boxes or bags with your favorites? I’m a big fan of an edible favor.
We’re doing an outdoor BBQ reception, and I’m getting cotton candy in bags… making stickers to match our colors (light blue cotton candy, red stickers).

Edible favors are always popular. We are doing a candy buffet, but making some of it to cut down on cost. We are just stockpiling our favorites. No color coding. Way too expensive.

I like the idea of chapstick and maybe with a donation to your fav. charity it will seem like enough?

If a candy buffet doesn’t work budget wise, then I suggest an edible favor of some sort. Other favors may have the cuteness factor but cute doesn’t look so good when they are all left on the table.
Do you have a color scheme or theme into which you would like to incorporate your favor?

Our wedding colors are gray/silver, orange, and ivory. So if we did candy then we could have silver tins or silver bags. I’ve thrown out the idea of a picture frame that could be the favor and have the escort cards in them to kill two birds with one stone. I just saw an idea of scratch off lottery tickets win an envelope with a penny (envelope would have name and table#).

My favors are soap samplers from a monastary of cloistered nuns that is near and dear to my heart. I get favors and am able to support them all in one go. It includes a mini-soap, chapstick and loation.

How about making or buying some pretty boxes and filling them with some chocolates or pick n mix such as love hearts etc? I got some lovely silver heart shaped boxes from confetti and some ribbon to tie them closed with, and I will buy heart shaped chocolates wrapped in silver and gold foil nearer the date to fill them with. Am only doing favours for the female guests as it is traditional I think.

Okay well you are getting married on my birthday! which is awesome! 🙂 I am getting married in October. & I am thinking of edible favors myself but each person is different. My friend just got married and she had a candy station. But what we decided well sort of on, is possibly doing mini caramel apples, and there will be pies, cause of Fall. & then possibly artesian chocolates, anything you do get or whatever if you don’t make them, get them in bulk! & if you don’t do edible favors you could make a burned cd of you and your fiance’s favorite songs, i went to a wedding for one of my friends and they did that, it was interesting to just see what they were interested in music. I hope this helps! Good luck!

you could give each person a candy bar (less expensive than a whole buffet), with a personalized candy wrapper (picture of you two on it).

My FH and I are not doing favors, simply because they always end up being things that are forgotten, disposed of, or looked down on. I say save the cash, and use what you don’t spend on honeymoon, reception food, or a house!

How about instead of doing favours, you could put the money towards a charity of your choice.

We’re not doing favors and I really don’t think people will miss them. If there’s not something that you love, I don’t think its worth it to do something or make a donation. You really don’t have to do favors.
