I ended up with a dress with a light gold underlay, covered by lighter shades of sparkly organza and ivory cascading flower detail. I’ve posted it a million times, and I do love it. The only issue is that nothing else is my wedding is gold (mostly white, ivory, touches of blush and charcoal/pewter). That’s fine, because I wanted to stand out. However, I need to find a good middle ground for my accessories. They can’t be silver, but I can’t go all gold as to still coordinate with all of my surroundings to some degree. So, it’s been tough!!!
The photo doesn’t have the same affect as seeing the dress in person, but I *knew* in person all this dress needed was a couple of sparkly layered bracelettes (I would do two of the ones above, or two-three slight varied ones about the same size) and some sparkly dangly earrings. No statement necklace or sash, as much as I may have wanted one before. It would just be way too busy. Yet it will be an evening ceremony heavily lit by candlelight, so I do want some sparkle to reflect the light.
So, this is what I have come up with so far. I’m just still unsure and very indecisive about it. I need some help! I originally wanted classic drop earrings. However, my hair will be down and relatively “straight”, and I feel they may not even be seen. Also, the busy flowers on the bust are coming off, but I did like how the almost filigree earrings mimic the cascade of the flowers on the skirt.
Is it still too much? Does anyone have any other recommendations or accessories that may look better??? Eekkk… I’m just ready to get some things purchased soon, so that I can check this off my list! : )

@smv22114: I’ve seen your posts of your dress, it’s so pretty and unique. I like the earrings as haven’t they got a touch of pink in the stone? I think touches of pink will work with the colour of your dress and your colour theme as well as your skin tone. In regards to the earrings I guess it depends on how thick your hair is and the style as well as how much emphasis will be on them. Is is Tamra Barney’s make-up you like? I don’t know what it is about her wedding day make-up but it’s gorgeous.

@CatyLady: thanks! My hair can be fairly thick, and I have extensions. While my makeup will be almost identical, it’s actually her hair that I am using for inspiration, as her hair texture/color and skin tone is similar to my own. Mine will be a little straighter, but similarly flipped on the ends. I usually don’to even bother with earrings because no one tends to see them with the way my hair lays. Hence, why I thought maybe going a little more dramatic may help them stand out a little.

@CatyLady: I looked at the close up version of the earrings and I don’t think they have pink. However, they are swarovski crystal (I believe) from an Etsy seller and she may be able to do them in a light pink stone? I’ll have to find out. : ) my e-ring is white gold, otherwise I’d consider rose-gold accessories.

@smv22114: Yes! Rose gold, now there’s a thought, that I think will look fabulous and make a statement, it’ll have such a wow factor. I’m currently obsessed with rose gold.

You could wear a shoe that has both rose gold and gold
and add a custom made bridal wrap in case it is cool in the evening between the church and the reception venue.
