I’ve probably tried on 20+ wedding dresses but haven’t had that “I love it” moment… I do however keep coming back to one dress I’ve tried on (Mori Lee 5106) this dress is the absolute top of my budget (well actually slightly over once I’ve paid for the adjustments needed) but it’s the only one I could see myself wearing!
My only a concerns are:
1) does it make me look too busty? (I’m a UK 10 in hips/waist but UK 16/32F in the chest)
2) will I look short? Pic here is standing on a box, I’ll be wearing flat shoes on the day, I’m 5ft5in

I think it looks lovely and don’t think you will look short because the skirt isn’t overly full. But I also think you should LOVE you dress. I looked for ages and tried to make myself like some. I even had a short-list. Then I tried on the ONE, and I wanted to sleep in it and never take it off.

ne11y23: aaahhh I want to find one that I never want to take off…! I think part of my problem is I’m a serial budgeter, initially I didn’t go for it because the price was a bit high, I decided I could definitely find something in a sample sale, so I’ve trawled through sample sales and found nothing I like as much and mostly all a similar cost once you add in a dry clean. I think I should probably go back and try it on a second time now I’ve had the experience of sample sales 🙂
I am seeing my bridesmaid at the weekend and she’s booked some appointments for me to try a few more dresses on, so maybe I’ll have an epiphany moment!

Gemma1million: I think you look fantastic. I suppose it would look a little less booby if the neckline were a couple of inches higher, but I don’t think it’s pornographic or anything.
From the side view, you are always going to look bust-heavy, due to your chest size. From the front, you look fairly balanced. You don’t look short at all.
The silhouette is a great choice for you. I think you’d also look great in a drop waist ballgown or modified a-line – so long as it hugs your hips, (because you have a nice waist as well) and isn’t too poofy.

You look amazing. They will hemm it and make it so it’s fits you perfectly, you won’t look short. And to be honest, I WISH I had a bit more clevage for my dress. You’re lucky, you have a great figure for strapless gowns.

I think you look lovely! I think it flatters your figure wonderfully. Definatly not to much cleaveage ect.

I have been to two bridal stores and I am pretty sure that I tried on 20 gowns…10 or so at each and have been underwellemed so far. Dont worry or stress about it.

I read somewhere that only about half the brides have that “say yes to the dress” moment. Im totally expecting a rational reaction from me. I will find a dress that is comfortable, afforable and beautiful….but probably will find several and narrow it down based on rational thinking. lol.

You look beautiful! You can always try to ask if they will lift the cups before you purchase it if you care about the bust.
