I've been looking for wedding gowns for about 3 weeks now and I have narrowed my selection down to 3 dresses and just can't decide. Two of them are San Patrick (the Patty and the Peralta) and one of them is very similiar to this Maggie Sottero dress but with no beading on the front.
I've tried the San Patrick Peralta dress and was pleasantly surprised how beautiful it looks on me...as I'm not usually the type that gravitates towards this many "exposed under layers especially the tulle and the beading. I love the asymmetrical fitted design. I think the difference between the Peralta and Patty are very different looks...Paralta is a little more romantic without being too princess where s the Patty is a little more sleeker, bolder and more robust in the design.
Please help me choose. I'd love to hear your honest opinions.

Thank you!!
I love beading on dresses so I'd go with the Peralta.
Pictures would really help us help you!
Wow! I wasn't expecting comments so quickly. I've uploaded urls that will direct you to the 3 gowns. Thank you!
Oh my god! I love them all!! They're all very similar in shape and neckline. The major difference is designs and beading.
The Peralta has the outer tulle which is very different. After seeing the pictures, I would choose the Patty one as my top choice and then Peralta then Sasha.
And you'll get comments pretty quickly around here. Your fellow brides are here to help! Good luck with choosing your gown.
That's tough....but I think I like the "san patrick" one best. Any would be beautiful!
Thanks! I'm so glad I found this website. Your comments are extemely helpful. There's a sense of calmness to the frantic gown shopping knowing others are on the same boat as I.
I love the Patty & Paralta! At first look I liked the Patty more but when I looked a second time I like the Paralta - I like the asymmetrical back, I bet it looks beautiful when you walk. When and where is the wedding? Could this have an effect on your decision?
My wedding will be in May 2010. The wedding ceremony will be small and intimate which will only include my closest friends and family about 30-35. I'm having the ceremony at my brother's house. I will be coming down a spiral staircase, out the front double doors and will be walking straight down the aisle to the arch that will be inbetween two lovely trees.
The Peralta IS very lovely especially when you walk. From the side view where the dress is pulled up, gathered asymetrically with the exposed layers and tulle, it just flows absolutely beautifully when you walk. You are absolutely right on about that!
def prefer the San Patrick over the Maggie (although Maggie dresses are just as beautiful!), my fav choice is the Peralta, its so beautiful
Peralta is amazing! If I could have a 2nd wedding dress I would pick one that has all kinds of cool stuff at the bottom like that.
Oooh love the Peralta. I love the exposed fluffy part of the dress.
I agree with lots of the girls, all of them are beautiful but I love the uniqueness of the Peralta. I love the other two (I am a maggie bride) but the Peralta looks like you would be floating across the floor!
I'm a bit biased because my dress is very similar to the Maggie you posted, so that one gets my vote :)
My vote goes for Peralta. Love the detailing of the bodice and how it looks so asymmetric.
I really like the Peralta for a May wedding - the layers look so romantic and whimsical it has a very "garden" quality to it!
I'm quite drawn to the Peralta, so that's my favorite! You can't really go wrong, though, these are all beautiful dresses!
Personally, I love the Maggie but I tend to gravitate towards very simple, un-embellished design...I say pick the one you feel the best in!
I like the top part of Patty the best but its skirt is not as nice as Peralta's. As a whole, Peralta is my favorite dress out of the three.
Dear "palm tree". You've just made my day. I literally just got goose bumps after reading your post. Thanks again for your help!
amdesign07, Is the peralta a 2010 gown and is it in stores? I was looking for that particular one and I love it! It wasn't in stores when I was looking so if you find it...You should get it! I too live in Arlington, VA. May I ask which store you found it? Thanks!
I think it really depends on your body type. I gravitate towards the Patty, but it's because I absolutely know that that style would work the best on me. The straight across upward rusching on the chest would be disaster for me... but it might be perfect for someone else. Can't wait to see pictures of you in them!
i love the patty but i agree - it really depends on your body type... do you have pix of you in them?
For my body type, I'm such a bit fan of ruching. I went for the 3rd option, but you know, it's a difficult question since I found that dresses I thought were ok looked fab on me (not to toot my own horn, you understand!) and other dresses, which I loved on models or racks, looked awful. Have fun picking your favourite - you'll be stunning no matter what you choose. xo (Also, I've found that if you can stand it, finding the most brutally honest person you know and bringing them to fittings can be a God-send)
I like Patty. I don't like Peralta because the top layer of fabric looks like they just ran out of fabric so they pined it to the side as an afterthoght. I've never been a fan of short outer layers like that though so it might be my own personal issues.
You can find the dress at Ellie's Bridal Boutique in Alexandria, Va.
I'm going back this weekend to try it on again and will let you guys know. Thank you everyone for your thoughts!
I absolutely LOVE the Maggie! It is simple yet sooo elegant! :)
Dresses on us normal people look different than when they're on the models, but I like the Peralta!
I'm on the Patty bandwagon. I think that the top of the dress is spectacular with the sweetheart neckline and ruching...as opposed to the other two which have more of a straighter neckline from what I can tell...I always like to get the extra curve in there!
I looooove dresses that are like the peralta. Love them. I feel its much more unique then the other two.
