I want nature/vintage style for my wedding.
I’ve got people telling me that one of the first things you do, is decide what theme you want, but I don’t know if that is to broad to start looking for the decoration.
what comes to your mind when I say nature/vintage? what another more specific theme would go with nature?
Ps: I’m getting married outdoors with some fountains and trees.
Thanks for the replies! <3

I’ve never understood the point of having a “theme” for a wedding.
If you know that you want to incorporate nature motifs and vintage elements in your wedding, then just start looking for things you like and putting them together. That’s basically all a “theme” is, anyway.

I agree with KCKn2…..I don’t have a theme. Just do whatever your vision is…..ijs

I agree with PP. I’d never really heard of a “theme” wedding until I came to the bee. I think your ideas are great and don’t need to be narrowed down.

I would also decide on what kind of colors you’d like to use, because that is a major element that helps you have a cohesive look and make choices for your BM dresses, invites, decor, flowers, etc.

You don’t NEED a theme, but I also think themes can be incredibly helpful in narrowing down what you want: and in saving money, because it helps you eliminate random details. I would agree that a color scheme is also very helpful if you want a nature/vintage wedding: I don’t think you need to narrow it down any more than that, but you could, either approach works.
When I think of this, I definitely think different shades of woodsy greens, lots of moss and simple, natural decor:
