I would have voted for the mugs with espresso and biscotti but since it’s only one per couple I voted for the burlap bag of beans, but now that I’m thinking about it a little more, BRING BACK THE SAPPLING!!

I also love the sapling idea.  I think many guests could incorporate the planting of the tree into their lives as well (ex. DH and I were recently married, so this would be “our” tree at our house, or tree for anniversary year, tree to celebrate baby, tree to celebrate new job, etc….you get the drift).

However, I also love, love love the favor table idea.  But I think you’d need a sign AND an annoucement telling there is one favor per invitation, otherwise people may stock up.  (NOTE: I’m very much into clarification.  I’m an event planner for an organization in real life, and I’ve found people actually like to bluntly know what’s expected or what to do versus guessing and embarrassment).

Also, I’d like to note that people will forget to take their favor and some will take more than one, so it should help balance.  We had over half our favors left (but ours were cheap and we did have a drunk group…lol).

You’re so clever! Love either idea!

I voted for the coffee beans.I love coffee and LOVE fresh beans to grind.

I like the idea of the favor table but I feel it doesn’t go with your rustic theme. It seems a little formal IMO.

    Just a thought! πŸ™‚

@lovelove1028:  Ohh, that’s awesome that someone could hand them out! πŸ™‚ However, I’d still reccommend to clarify that there’s “one per invitation” (ex. what if wife comes up alone one time, and then (unknowingly) reminds husband to grab his before they leave at a different time).

If you end up doing the favor table, may I suggest maybe a jelly, honey, or maple syrup 2oz mason jar sample for another idea on the table?  DH and I recenly went to a wedding where they had 4 oz (!!!) homemade (which you could buy/order online for the price you listed) jelly for each person.  DH finished both the next day (“he couldn’t stop!” – his words, haha).

I dont like the sapling idea, I recently went to a wedding that had them. And …no one took them home! And Id hate that if I was the bride πŸ™

I love the coffee idea, but I would do ground…if it was beans I wouldnt use them as I dont have a grinder.

If you’re going to go with the saplings, you should get saplings that are native to the areas that people are living. Like if some of your guests are from California and you live in Pennsylvania make sure you take that into account, that way they have native plants that will thrive at their home!

The coffee bag idea is darling. Perfect blend… How clever ;). another great idea for the ladies in your wedding party is to give each of them some purse slip on shoes… The ones that you can fit anywhere!! They will be greatful after a few dances!! Congrats

I vote the little trees!!! (although i don’t know what a favor table is….)

We are getting married in the woods….okay, it’s actually a Christmas tree farm. πŸ™‚ And i thought we could have a tree planting area for those who don’t want to take them home.

You could do something similar and have a small plaque mounted with your initals, the date and a sweet saying and over the years you could watch them grow, take pics and use them for Christmas cards or Anniversary rememberances or use them for Christmas trees….
